WHY CONSIDER POWER FLUSHING?
As a heating system gets older it accumulates debris as a result of the natural process of corrosion. Power flushing is a bit like jet washing the inside of your heating system.
Power flushing removes the debris by using specially designed high quality chemicals and high velocity water. Power flushing improves the efficiency and lifespan of a boiler (& central heating system) increasing system efficiency and reliability whilst reducing fuel consumption.
SIGNS WHICH INDICATE YOUR SYSTEM WOULD BENEFIT FROM A POWER FLUSH:
• Cold radiators with only a hot strip at the top
• Black sludgy water in the heating system (shown by radiator removal or a failed heating pump or valve replacement)
• Poor circulation to a system that used to work better
• A magnet attaching to copper pipe-work (signs of iron sludge within)
• An overflowing attic header tank (although this could also be caused by a pump being set at the wrong speed)
